Why the C-5402?

The C-5402 F2 FasCard Reader is CCI's second-generation hybrid reader accepts coins and cards at the same machine without eliminating either payment option. Top mount configuration for machines where front mounting is not available. Works with your existing coin mechanism customers can pay with coins, card, loyalty card, or mobile app. 3.5" color touchscreen is the only full-color display on any laundry card reader in the industry. No minimum purchase, no rewiring plugs into the existing transformer on your machine.

Installation & setup overview

  1. Confirm machine compatibility check the CCI compatibility guide at laundrycard.com for your specific washer and dryer model before ordering.
  2. Mount the reader to the top of the machine using the included hardware.
  3. Connect to the machine transformer 24VAC or 12VDC input, no rewiring required.
  4. Register the reader in your CCI FasCard account via the cloud setup process.
  5. Configure vend price, payment settings, and loyalty options through the FasCard portal.
  6. Test with a card transaction before going live.

❓ Common questions & answers

Q: Can I mix C-5402 readers with F1 FasCard readers in the same store?

A: Yes the F2 FasCard reader operates on the same FasCard cloud infrastructure as the F1. A single store can have a mix of F1 and F2 readers without requiring multiple setups or separate accounts.

Q: Does this reader require a wired network?

A: No the FasCard system is wireless and cloud-based. Readers connect via WiFi or through a CCI Satellite Access Point (C-1491-V2). No hardwired network is required.

Q: Is the C-5402 EMV chip card compatible?

A: No the F2 FasCard Reader accepts magnetic stripe cards and contactless NFC payments via the FasCard app, but does not have EMV chip card capability. For EMV compliance, see the F3 FasCard Reader (C-5520 or C-5520e).
