The spreader wheel is a specialized tracking and tensioning wheel on the entry conveyor of large flatwork ironers pulling wet linen out flat horizontally to eliminate wrinkles before the linen enters the heated ironing rollers. Worn spreader wheels cause entry wrinkles that pass through the ironer.
