Frigidaire Electrolux 5304527640 holder assembly, ignitor/orific replacement part appliance

Genuine Frigidaire/Electrolux replacement oven ignitor for gas ranges and ovens. The oven ignitor glows to open the gas valve safety solenoid and ignite the oven burner. Most Frigidaire gas ovens use a flat glo-bar ignitor. A weak ignitor is the most common cause of gas oven failure it can glow but not reach the amperage to open the gas valve.

⚠ Important Note

Handle ignitor element with a cloth never touch with bare hands. Skin oils cause premature ignitor failure. Shut off gas before service.

❓ Common Questions

Q: My ignitor glows but the oven does not light is it bad?

A: Yes a glowing ignitor can still be failed. The ignitor must reach approximately 3.2 to 3.6 amps to open the gas valve safety solenoid. A weak ignitor may glow orange but not reach sufficient amperage. Test amperage draw with a clamp meter if below spec, replace the ignitor even though it appears to glow.
