Banded (joined) V-belt BXE, 3-band set. Banded belts bond multiple individual V-belt strands together with a common tie-band on the outer surface. This prevents belt "rollover" and flutter under high-torque, pulsating, or shock-load conditions that would cause individual belts to climb out of their grooves.

⚠ Installation Note

When replacing a banded belt set, also inspect the sheave grooves for wear. Worn grooves with a hooked or cupped profile will rapidly wear the new belt resurface or replace worn sheaves before installing.

🔧 Installation Tips

  • ✓ Disconnect and lock out power before accessing belt drive
  • ✓ Inspect sheave/sprocket grooves for wear replace worn sheaves before installing new belt
  • ✓ Never use a pry bar to force the belt over sheave flanges this damages tensile cords
  • ✓ Set tension per equipment service manual over-tension damages bearings, under-tension causes slip
  • ✓ Re-check tension after first 48 hours of operation belts seat slightly after initial run-in
