Xpb3100 replacement belt, v-belt, xpb, (16.3mm x 3100mm pl), commercial laundry drive belt

Cogged (raw-edge notched) V-belt XPB cogged narrow (16.3 mm top width). Cogged belts feature transverse notches cut into the bottom of the belt body, allowing the belt to flex more easily around smaller diameter pulleys. The raw-edge construction no fabric cover on the sidewalls increases the friction contact area in the sheave groove for greater power capacity and efficiency compared to a standard wrapped V-belt of the same cross-section.

Q: What is the difference between a cogged V-belt and a standard wrapped V-belt?

A: A standard wrapped V-belt has a fabric cover (jacket) over the entire belt including the sidewalls. A cogged belt has no fabric on the sidewalls (raw-edge) and has transverse notches cut across the bottom of the belt body. The raw-edge increases grip in the sheave groove for more power capacity. The notches allow the belt to flex more easily, making cogged belts ideal for small-diameter pulleys and high-speed applications.

Q: Do I need special sheaves for cogged belts?

A: No cogged V-belts use the same standard RMA/ISO sheave groove dimensions as classical wrapped belts of the same section. An AX cogged belt fits the same A-section sheave as a standard A-section belt. Cogged belts can replace standard wrapped belts directly in most applications.
